1st 2nd and 4th Tuesday 10. 30. - 12. 30.

Single Table Tennis was set up over 3 years ago and has been very successful with over 30 members enrolled. Our group uses 3 tables which are set up at the Appley Bridge Community Centre.

Playing singles on a regular basis has meant that we have seen a considerable improvement  in everybody’s skill levels. There are many benefits to playing table tennis. These include improving hand/eye co-ordination, reflexes and balance. It is also a great way of improving leg, arm and core strength without over taxing your joints. In the main, participants play competitively with a ladder system in use. However, some of the group play just for ‘fun’.

Table Tennis is a highly social activity with lots of chatting, banter and the noise of people thoroughly enjoying themselves as well as having a great deal of fun. It’s a perfect match for our U3A motto – Learn, Laugh and Live!
