Excerptfrom Newsletter June 2017

People come to computing for a variety of reasons – some just want a couple of quiet hours to get on with some project e.g. planning walks or sorting out old photographs; others come for a session or two to get started on their new tablet; others have been coming for a while and, having started with no knowledge whatever, are now fairly competent in accessing the internet and sending emails. Some have learned how to download and organise photographs, find bus stops and travel information using the internet and generally increased their confidence to just ‘have a go’. We have anything from 4 to 12 people each session coming for help and usually at least 3 helpers – often 5 or 6. The helpers often learn from each other as we all have different areas of knowledge. We try to offer 1 to 1 help when we can at whatever stage you are at.
